To add music to your Instagram stories, follow these steps:
- Open the Instagram app on your smartphone and swipe right to access the camera screen.
- Take a photo or record a video for your story.
- Tap the sticker icon at the top of the screen (it looks like a square smiley face).
- Select the “Music” sticker from the list of available stickers.
- Choose a song from the library by searching for it by title, artist or genre.
- Once you have selected the song you want to use, you can preview it by tapping on it.
- You can also select the specific part of the song that you want to use by dragging the slider left or right.
- After selecting the desired part of the song, tap “Done.”
- You can also add lyrics to the song by tapping the “Lyrics” button and selecting a style.
- Once you have finished customizing your music sticker, you can resize it and move it around your story by using pinch and drag gestures.
- Finally, share your story by tapping the “Your Story” button at the bottom of the screen.
That’s it! Your Instagram story now has music added to it.
Adding Music to a Regular Instagram Post:
- Start by creating a new post on Instagram.
- Tap on the “Add Music” icon at the bottom of the screen (it looks like a music note).
- You can now browse through the different music categories, or search for a specific song or artist using the search bar.
- Once you’ve found the song you want, select the portion of the song you want to use by dragging the slider bar.
- Once you’ve selected your desired portion, you can preview the clip and make any adjustments.
- Tap “Done” once you’re happy with your selection and proceed to post your photo or video.
