To open the command prompt on Windows:
- Click on the Start button (usually located in the lower left corner of the screen).
- Type “cmd” (without the quotes) into the search bar.
- Click on the “Command Prompt” or “Command Prompt (Admin)” option that appears.
Alternatively, you can press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box, type “cmd” (without the quotes), and then press Enter.
